What the course covers

Taught in the order the exam tests it, with the guideline "next step" for every common presentation and the curriculum images that come up year after year.

Content follows the RCGP curriculum and current NICE, SIGN and RCGP guidance at the time of each run.

  • Clinical Knowledge: 35 live + 2 recorded sessions, system by system
  • Admin Secrets: 3 live sessions on the organisational questions
  • Statistics Secrets: 4 live sessions on the statistics questions
  • Every session recorded to the course Telegram group and Google Drive
  • Run once before each AKT sitting, four times a year

How the course runs

One run before every AKT sitting, finishing about a fortnight before exam day so the last two weeks are yours.

    Book your place

    Pay once for the run. Dates are announced in Latest News and emailed to free account holders as soon as the RCGP confirms the sitting.

    Live on Zoom: Sun 1 pm · Tue & Fri 8 pm

    Sessions are taught live so you can ask. Each one is recorded the same evening and uploaded to the course Telegram group.

    Revise from the recordings

    Rewatch any session as often as you like until the sitting. Materials are online only; printable notes come with a personal watermark.

    Sit the exam

    The next AKT sitting is 26 January 2027. Timed mocks in the MCQ bank are opening soon for the final month.

Course rules

The same three rules apply to every Royal Medicare course.

  1. Course materials are protected by intellectual property rights. Sharing them with non-members means immediate removal from the course, loss of access to all materials, and possible legal action.
  2. Access to the materials does not expire: you keep it until you pass.
  3. Existing students who want to attend a new live run for the updates pay an administration fee of £50.

Questions about the course

How much do I save?

£90. The three courses cost £540 separately; the Full Package is £450.

Do the three courses run at the same time?

They run in the same course period before each sitting. The Clinical Knowledge sessions are every Sunday at 1 pm and Tuesday and Friday at 8 pm; Admin and Statistics dates are announced for each course.

How long do I keep the materials?

Access to the materials does not expire: you keep it until you pass.

I took the course before. Can I join the next live run?

Yes. Existing students can attend a new live run for the updates for an administration fee of £50.

Can I share the materials with a study partner?

No. Course materials are protected by intellectual property rights. Sharing them with non-members means immediate removal from the course and loss of access to all materials, with possible legal action.

Is there a group discount?

Yes. If you are booking as a group of candidates you may be eligible for an extra discount, and the bigger the group, the bigger the discount. Message Dr Omar on WhatsApp to check the current group offers.
