The exam screen, before exam day

Mocks use the layout candidates see at the test centre: the item bar with the clock, the stem, the options, the controls along the bottom. Nothing to learn on the day but the questions.

The layout is modelled on the Pearson VUE candidate screen. Royal Medicare is not affiliated with Pearson VUE or the RCGP.

Mocks and the question bank, answered

What do I get with mock access?

Each mock is a full timed AKT-style exam: 160 questions in 160 minutes on a screen laid out like the test centre's. You get the answer and Dr Omar's explanation for every question, your overall score, your performance by clinical system, a review of your correct and incorrect answers, and your progress across mocks. You can revisit the questions any time during your access.

    How does buying mocks work?

Choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 mocks, with 1 month (30 days) or 3 months (90 days) of access from the day you buy. After paying, you unlock the mocks you want from your account; buy all four and they are unlocked straight away. Every price is a one-off payment, not a subscription.

    Are these real AKT questions?

No. Every question is written by Dr Omar for practice, in the exam's format and against current NICE, SIGN and RCGP guidance. None is a real AKT question. The explanations give the reasoning for each answer; they are not the course teaching.

What if I think an answer is wrong or out of date?

Every question has a Report button that goes straight to Dr Omar, and a Discuss button to message him on WhatsApp. He reads every report and answers questions about the reasoning himself.

When does the question bank open?

Dr Omar is reviewing the bank questions now, for launch ahead of the January 2027 sitting. The bank is a separate set of questions from the mocks. Create a free account to hear the day it opens.

    Are there discounts?

Always check with Dr Omar for available discounts before you buy, especially if you are studying with a group or already on one of his courses.

Can I use it on my phone?

You can review your results on any device, but sit the mocks on a laptop or desktop so the screen matches the exam.

New to the exam? Start with the AKT guide and the sitting dates.
